Local projects the buzz at Eggs & Issues

The Riverhead Chamber of Commerce hosted its monthly Eggs & Issues breakfast forum at Polish Hall in Riverhead Thursday.
Representatives from Summerwind Square, a 52-unit rental complex planned for Peconic Avenue in downtown Riverhead were on hand to speak about their project, as were officials with the Peconic YMCA and Long Island YMCA groups, which plan to build a YMCA recreational facility near Stotzky Park.
Marty Sendlewski, the architect who designed Summerwind, said he expects ground to be broken for the project in June and completed about 10 months later.
Fritz Trinklein, the director of strategic planning for Long Island YMCA, said he expects the $8 million project to be completed sometime in 2011.    See video.
