Correction

Shirley Coverdale is a member of the board of directors of the Long Island Organizing Network nonprofit group, which is working to help Riverhead flood victims recover after the late March rainstorm. The First Baptist Church of Riverhead is providing a host site for those efforts. Ms. Coverdale’s role with the church was incorrectly described in a short biography that followed her guest column published in the May 6 edition of the News-Review.
