‘Divas’ do lunch
Marie Vasco of Calverton (standing, foreground), who will turn 90 on May 27, organized a luncheon for about 40 ‘Red Hat Divas’ at the new Luce-Hawkins restaurant and inn in Jamesport (formerly Jedediah Hawkins Inn), which is getting set to launch its grand reopening, probably during Memorial Day weekend. The Red Hat social group got an exclusive preview of the new restaurant and recently constructed sunroom, built on what was a patio on the south side of the historic building.

The kids are rolling in for the summer! Johanna, Taffy and I had a great trip to Florida to pick up my eldest daughter from college. Southwest Airlines saved me $100 by awarding Taffy two pieces of luggage on the trip home. They justified it because she is Johanna’s service dog, she helped us carry some of the luggage and we had her dog food in one of the bags!
