Gay pride service planned
Gay pride will be celebrated at First Universalist Church of Southold during the Sunday, June 27, worship service, which starts at 10:30 a.m. Members of the congregation will present historical accounts of this celebration, with special music under the direction of pianist Charlotte Day.

Graduation ceremony set
Riverhead High School will graduate its 2010 seniors on Saturday, June 26, at 9:30 a.m., on the varsity football field, weather permitting. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the high school gymnasium.
 Bishop McGann-Mercy High School held its ceremony on June 2.    

Become a day care provider
Little Flower Day Care Network is offering continuous recruitment for those interested in becoming registered New York State child day care providers. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
To arrange an appointment for orientation and instruction on how to apply for state registration, call 631-929-6200, ext. 1239, and a day care social worker will visit you in your home.

Sailor Kids need boats
North Fork Women’s Resource Center is asking for donations of boats for its underprivileged children’s sailing and boating programs as well as appliances, bikes, furniture, cars, trucks for its thrift shop.

Computer classes offered
The North Fork Women’s Resource Center is sponsoring computer classes for beginners and intermediates in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Publisher and Excel.
Classes of six students will meet twice a week for five weeks; the fee is $250. Private sessions are also available at a cost of $45 per class. Schedules will be determined by students’ needs. Call 734-4233.
