Police identify man involved in fatal L.I.E. accident

Jason Simpson of Brooklyn has been identified as the man who died in a single-car crash on the eastbound ramp of Exit 73 on the Long Island Expressway last Monday, authorities said.
Mr. Simpson, 34. was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 1 p.m., police said.
Police said his name was not released right away as the medical examiner’s office could only confirm his identity through fingerprinting.
There have been numerous accidents and at least four fatalities at the Exit 73 off ramp over the years. Several large trucks also have flipped over while driving on the curving off-ramp.
