Taizà services at First Parish Church are held the last Thursday evening of every month at 7 p.m. The next one is July 29. Join those seeking peace, harmony and spiritual connection through this simple, candlelit worship service. To achieve the soul-quieting effect there will be singing of simple contemplative songs, candle lighting, prayer and meditation, followed by a simple order of ecumenical Christian worship. The next Youth Bureau Friendly Friday Trip for grades 9-12, including families and community members, will be on Friday, July 30, to Great Adventure. Children under 11 must be with an adult. Just another reminder that Hallockville Museum Farm will hold its barn dance on Saturday, July 31, at 6:30 p.m. The historic Naugles Barn, surrounded by preserved farmland, will provide an authentic and scenic venue for this family-oriented event. Chart Guthrie will call the dance, with music provided by the Dance All Night band. Participants are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner. Soda, wine, and beer will be available for purchase. Tickets are available at the door or by calling 631-298-5292: Cost: $20 for the general public; $15 for Hallockville members; and $5 for children under 12. Proceeds support programming at Hallockville Museum Farm. Casual attire is recommended.

We had a lot of fun this weekend! We went to Sparkling Pointe’s grand opening in Southold and we met many wonderful people, including the owners, Tom and Cynthia Rosicki. It was a really enjoyable time.
