Thunderstorms wreaking havoc on the North Fork

A tree believed to be 150 years old fell at Gabrielsen’s farm
in Jamesport.

Quick storms that ran through the area Wednesday didn’t need too much time to do their share of damage.
They even spelled doom for a tree in the parking lot of Gabrielsen’s farm on Route 25 in Jamesport. Owner George Gabrielsen said the downed tree was probably about 150 years old, and he said large pellets of hail accompanied the rain and high winds. 
The National Weather Service had a thunderstorm warning in effect for the area from Wednesday afternoon until 9 p.m.
