Lillian Hansen

Lillian Hansen of Wading River died June 27 at the Port Jefferson Healthcare Facility. She was 88.

She was born Dec. 18, 1921, in Rujkan, Norway, and moved to the United States as a child. She was raised in Miller Place, where she graduated from high school.

On Nov. 6, 1945, she married Thor Hansen in Mexico. She was a homemaker and later worked as a legal secretary in Rocky Point for 15 years.

Ms. Hansen was a lifetime member of the Sons of Norway and, according to her family, she was an avid dog lover who enjoyed baking, bowling and having fun.

Predeceased by her husband, she is survived by her children, Linda Sullivan of Wading River and Richard, of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Following private cremation, a private family memorial service will be held July 24 in Sharon Springs, N.Y.
