Peconic Bay Medical Center hosted its sixth annual Joint Camp barbecue at Martha Clara Vineyard Friday afternoon.
The event gives former joint replacement patients the chance to get
reacquainted with the surgeons and medical staff who cared for them
during their time at PBMC.
The joint camp was organized by Paul Furbeck, the assistant director of rehabilitation for PBMC.
In recognition of his work, the hospital is sending Mr. Furbeck on a
trip to Disneyworld. The event drew about 300 people who received new
knees or hips.
