Correction

An article in the Aug. 5 News-Review incorrectly stated that the Rev. Dr. Ledyard Baxter of Old Steeple Community Church in Aquebogue delivered the first invocation prayer at a Town Board meeting this year. He was actually the second to do so.

That honor actually goes to the Rev. Mary Cooper, pastor of House of Praise Christian Revival Center in Riverhead, who gave the invocation at the July 20 Town Board meeting. Rev. Cooper is also vice president of the Riverhead Clergy Council.
