Jamesport teen seriously injured in auto accident

An 18-year-old Jamesport man was seriously injured in a single car accident on Manor Lane in Jamesport early Saturday at about 1:11 a.m., according to Riverhead Town Police.
Gavin Cizmeli was heading south on Manor Lane when his 1996 Nissan left the roadway and hit a telephone pole, ejecting him from the vehicle which then burst into flames, according to police.
Mr. Cizmeli was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center by the Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance, and then later moved to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, according to police. The vehicle was impounded for a safety inspection.
