Josephine Bogdan

Aquebogue resident Josephine Bogdan died Sept. 17 at Westhampton Care Center. She was 91.

Born in Laurel on April 4, 1919, to Alex and Maryanna (Peksa) Wilcenski, she was a homemaker.

Predeceased by her husband, John, in 1976 and her brothers Anthony and Peter, Ms. Bogdan is survived by her children, Mary Cunningham of Riverhead, Theres Muir of Florida and John, of Aquebogue; her siblings Mary Zaneski of Mattituck, Edward, of Riverhead, Mitchell, of Laurel, and John, of Mattituck; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors Sept. 19 at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 20 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead by the Rev. Thomas Coby. Interment followed at St. Isidore R.C. Cemetery, Riverhead.
