Edwina H. Rolle

Lifelong South Jamesport resident Edwina H. Rolle died Oct. 26 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. She was 84.
She was born April 17, 1926, in Greenport to Anthony and Katherine (Godlewski) Haupt and was raised in South Jamesport. She graduated from Riverhead High School.
On Feb. 19, 1949, she married John Rolle at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead. Ms. Rolle was a homemaker, and according to her family, she enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting.
Predeceased by her husband in 1991, she is survived by her children, Nancy Meier of South Jamesport and Thomas, of Buffalo, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Family will receive visitors today, Thursday, Oct. 28, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 29, at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
