  • This is very great news. Time to move ahead & find someone who can start a new & sunnier chapter in the history of this district. Thank you Board of Ed for finally standing up & fulfilling your duty to represent the children of this district!

  • Last night’s kickoff of the district’s formal search process to find a different, replacement Superintendent, initiated by our Board of Ed at its monthly meeting, is a very welcome first step toward giving this district the fresh start so many in the community are excited to begin. It shows this Board’s willingness to step up to the plate & fulfill its duty to represent the best interests of our children. Thank you! Our Board must now get its search mechanisms moving quickly & efficiently, & not permit further tactics of delay & distraction to de-rail this important process. Our support is behind you BOE as you work hard to find us the best talent out there. Our kids deserve it!

The FreshStartSWR petition effort is still encouraging residents to add their signatures to the many names already collected. This will demonstrate community support for the Board’s ongoing search efforts & respond to the small group of staunch supporters of the current Superintendent who are continuing to work doggedly to undermine the Board’s process. The petition may be signed online at http://www.PetitionOnline.com/swrfs/petition.html, or by contacting FreshStartSWR@gmail.com for a paper petition.

FRESHSTARTSWR is the grassroots citizen petition effort in Shoreham Wading River calling for SWR’s Board of Ed to appoint a different, replacement Superintendent of Schools to be in place by the time the current Superintendent’s contract expires.
