Firemen battle Calverton blaze
A fire broke out Wednesday morning at an unoccupied home in Calverton, fire officials said.
Firefighters from Wading River, Riverhead and Manorville were on the scene at 77 Kay Road in Calverton to battle the flames, which sparked around 11:30 a.m., fire officials said.
No injuries were reported.
Neighbors said the house has been unoccupied for several months. Details on what caused the fire were not available.
