Biz Beat: Aquarium co-owner named ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’

• Jim Bissett, owner of Atlantis Marine World in Riverhead, has been named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Advancement for Commerce, Industry and Technology (ACIT).
At the awards luncheon, Mr. Bissett said, “It is a great honor to accept this award from ACIT. Although this is a personal award, I believe that it belongs as much to … my partner, Joe Petrocelli, Atlantis Marine World’s owner and co-founder, and the teams at both Atlantis Marine World and Bissett Nursery.”
• Chris Manfredi, owner of Allstate Insurance in Southold, has been recognized with the President’s Conference Award by Allstate “for high standards in customer satisfaction, customer retention and profitable business growth,” according to a press release.
