Business Profile: A Touch of Venice

BARBARAELLEN KOCH FILE PHOTO | Touch of Venice chefs and owners Ettore (left) and Brian Pennacchia.

Owners: Ettore, Barbara and Brian Pennacchia

Year established: 1988

Location: 28350 Main Road, Cutchogue

Phone: 631-298-5851

Number of employees: 12

A Touch of Venice Restaurant has served quality cuisine in generous portions at its Mattituck location since it opened in 1988. Menu selections range from Italian cuisine to the restaurant’s own inspirations and are “made from the finest ingredients, fusing the produce of local farms and wineries with imported specialties from Italy,” said head chef and co-owner Brian Pennacchia.

Now in the process of relocating to the space that previously housed Fisherman’s Rest in Cutchogue, owners Ettore, Barbara and Brian Pennacchia wanted to thank their customers, “new and old, for making this past year the busiest year our business has had in our 22-year history. We are excited to carry forward this success in our new location,” said the family.

And not to worry, the family plans to offer customers the same food and values they’ve come to know. Specialties like sautéed lobster over angel hair pasta and fresh local bass will be offered in the new location. Diners will also still be able to finish their meals with a house-made dessert or after-dinner drink from the bar such as amaro, grappa or a dessert wine.

“We plan to open this winter after we complete an ambitious renovation, in which we hope to create a casual yet classy Italian atmosphere. We also want to thank our staff. Their friendliness and dedication made this busy year possible. We look forward to greeting our loyal customers, and working hard to create new ones.”

A Touch of Venice is hoping to be up and running in the new location by March. Call for updated hours of operation, or visit them online at touchofvenice.com
