Artbeat: Sag Harbor filmmaker to lead discussion at Brecknock Hall

• Filmmaker Kenny Mann of Sag Harbor will lead a screening and discussion at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at Brecknock Hall in Greenport as part of the East End Arts Council’s Third Thursdays series. Ms. Mann’s most recent film is “Walking With Life: The Birth of a Human Rights Movement in Africa;” she’s currently at work on “Beautiful Tree, Severed Roots,” a film about her Jewish family in colonial Kenya in the ’50s and ’60s.
Admission is $10 for EEAC members and $15 for nonmembers.
Ms. Mann was a recipient of a Strategic Opportunity Stipend grant, administered through EEAC, which made this program possible. She will give a two-part course on documentary filmmaking beginning in March.

• A print show of works by photographer Bill Miller will be on view Feb. 12-May 30 at Clovis Point winery in Jamesport. Artist receptions are planned for Saturdays, March 5 and April 9, 1-4 p.m.
