  • Just out of curiosity, what exactly do all of the community members pay for their medical insurance? Where is this information posted? I would like to be able to access this information so I can verify the accuracy of your statement.

  • Obviously, because we all don’t work for the same employer, the information is not posted. But just talk to a lot of members of the community yourself as I did and you will learn what I learned: Of those who have health insurance, the norm for premiums is 20 to 25 percent. Many of us have had no pay increases since the beginning of the recession, so increasing medical premiums have become a bigger portion of our household budgets. And, please keep in mind, there are district residents paying school taxes who do not have any health insurance at all.

  • Take a look and judge for yourself if MPSD teachers and administrators can afford pay freeze so that programs for the children can be preserved.

  • Just to be clear: the information you are presenting as factual is actually based on an assumption you are making based on conversations you have had with people. Other than your own, you have not verified and cannot provide verification for the statements you have made? As I have learned the hard way, be wary of presenting informatuion as facts that are not. This can often lead one to lose credibility and create an atmosphere of distrust.
