Take advantage of the spring classes and educational opportunities at Hallockville Museum Farm. As part of its ongoing Fiber Arts Workshop Series, Hallockville is offering classes in needle felting and rug hooking, which began last week. Irene Heckle-Volpe is an award-winning designer and creator of felted art pieces and she started a series of three classes, which began March 14. Gail Horton is a well-known East End artist who has been hooking rugs for 30 years. She will teach her craft beginning April 13. All classes begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at Hallockville. In April, Hallockville will also offer “Springtime at Hallockville,” including a spring botany walk and activities for the entire family.
