Stella (Stephanie) Wienclawski

Stella (Stephanie) Wienclawski of Riverhead, formerly of Water Mill, died March 28 at the age of 97.

Born Nov. 6, 1913, in Riverhead to Stanley and Anna Pierzchanowski, she was a homemaker. Family members said she enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking.

Predeceased by her husband, Anthony, in 1996, Ms. Wienclawski is survived by her siblings, Felix Pierzchanowski and Terry Chabot, both of Riverhead, and Anna Aleksander of Peconic. She was also predeceased by her siblings Mike and John Pierzchanowski, Harriet Lucas, Stella Kanuck and Florence Drobny.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, March 30, at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. Father Robert Kuznik will conduct funeral services Thursday, March 31, at 10 a.m. at St. Isidore R.C. Church, Riverhead. Interment will be at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Cemetery in Southampton.
