Mary P. Lomaga of Mattituck, N.Y., died peacefully on April 5, 2011.

Predeceased by husband, George, and baby daughter, Pauline. Beloved mother of George and John; mother-in-law to Barbara and Peggy; precious “Nannie” to grandchildren Stephen (Carmela), Heather (Richard Petrowski), John and David; and great-grandmother to Nathan and Arianna.

Mary, an avid pinochle player, enjoyed listening to country music. She loved to travel with her family, especially to the coast of Maine, where she savored fresh lobster, Disney World in Florida and all the states in between.

Mary proudly celebrated the Ukrainian holidays and customs with her family and instilled in them the love of the traditions of their heritage. Mary, along with her brothers, Steve and John, performed cultural dances at the Ukrainian Pavilion at the 1934 World’s Fair in New York.

Her friendly, outgoing nature and concern for all will be deeply missed by friends and family.
