Two drivers sent to hospital following crash
Two drivers were taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center Thursday morning after an accident at the intersection of Sound Avenue and Route 105 in Northville.
According to Riverhead police officer Charles Silleck, who was at the scene, an unlicensed driver was pulling out of Briermere Farms’ parking lot into Sound Avenue traffic when his car struck another vehicle headed west on Sound Avenue.
The Riverhead Fire Department Heavy Rescue Squad was called to extricate the unlicensed driver from the car.
No further information was immediately available.
