Baseball: Southampton pitcher, six errors stop Tomcats

Southampton Breakers pitcher David Speer allowed one run and six hits over six innings as his Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League team defeated the Riverhead Tomcats, 4-1, on Sunday, in Riverhead. He walked two and struck out five.

Robb Scott provided the winners with two runs batted in, and Tim Swatek had two hits, one of which was a double.

Ryan Lukach went 2 for 3 with a walk for the Tomcats, who were charged with six errors.
