POLICE BLOTTER Riverhead Town

A Riverhead man was seen brandishing a silver handgun in the middle of Horton Avenue last Thursday, an anonymous caller reported to town police. Police searched the area for the man, who witnesses said fled the scene in an older model Mercury SUV, but could not find him. No arrests have been made.

• Graham Scott, 32, who police said had no fixed address, was arrested on East Main Street in Riverhead about 7:30 p.m. Monday and charged with disorderly conduct. No additional information was available.

• A resident of Imperial Way in Wading River reported to town police that someone caused more than $4,000 worth of damages to his pool and his family’s two cars last week. The damage was reported about 11:30 a.m. last Thursday.

• Four people were taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries sustained in a two-car collision on East Main Street in Riverhead near Riverhead Brake Service Thursday evening, officials said. Additional details were not available.

The 6:30 p.m. crash briefly led to a section of the road being closed to traffic while Riverhead police, firefighter and ambulance personnel responded.

• A Yaphank man was arrested for driving with a suspended license last week after he was involved in a two-car accident in Wading River, police said.
Christopher Citera, 25, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after he collided with a car driven by a Manorville woman at the intersection of Route 25 and Wading River Manor Road, officials said.

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
