Baseball: Whale of a win for Sag Harbor over Tomcats

The Sag Harbor Whalers broke out to a 6-0 lead by the fourth inning and rolled past the Riverhead Tomcats, 9-3, in an Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League game at Mashashimuet Park in Sag Harbor on Sunday.

Sag Harbor’s 11-hit attack was paced by Kyle Weeks (two runs batted in), Joe Solomeno (3 for 3, walk, run, RBI) and Ryan Kresky (2 for 5, run, RBI).

Kyle McGowin, one of three pitchers used by the Whalers (12-13), worked five innings of shutout ball. He struck out three and gave up two hits.

Jamie Wollerman and Patrick Jones drove in a run apiece for the Tomcats (10-17).
