1) When did you get the car?
A long, long time ago.
2) What shape was it in?
It was very rough. Basically I had to construct the whole car. Everything you see here.
3) What was the biggest challenge in restoring it?
Just about everything — seriously. It took years. Hot rods are always evolving. They are never done. I couldn’t say what it would look like two years from now. Things change.
4) Did you do the work yourself?
Oh yes. I have a very large shop at my house. I have a man cave. I can do anything automotive there.
5) What’s your favorite thing/feature on the car?
Everything, literally everything on it. You find parts everywhere: junk yards, farm fields and the internet.
6) What was the first car you owned, make and model?
A 1957 gold Chevrolet Bel Air which I got in 1963 and it was the first car I worked on. My parents bought it new and I owned it for about 10 years.
