Seventh annual Gridiron Golf Classic to benefit the Porters football team, Tuesday, Aug. 2, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Islands End Golf and Country Club in Greenport. Music

Community Drum Circle, Wednesday nights, 6:30-7:30 p.m. throughout July and August at East End Arts Council’s Carriage House located behind the School of the Arts, 144 East Main Street, Riverhead.  Led by master drummer Jerome Liggon, participants learn traditional West African hand drumming and chant in drum circle setting. Participants instructed in proper hand use and technique to produce variety of sounds from single skin of Djembe drum. Drums are provided for on-site use. For ages ten and up.
