Maryann Koglin

Maryann Koglin of Riverhead died July 23 in Stony Brook. She was 93.

She was born in Riverhead March 18, 1918, to John and Lena (Lesczski) Sydlowski and worked as an inspector at Western Electric Company in New Jersey. She was a longtime volunteer at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead.

Predeceased by her husband, William, in 1987 and her sisters Stella and Helen, Ms. Koglin is survived by her brothers, Alex and Stanley, of Riverhead, and Edward, of Aquebogue; her sister Jennie Macksel of Riverhead; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours are scheduled for Wednesday, July 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A service will take place Thursday, July 28, at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead, Bishop Emil Wcela officiating. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
