Robert Reecks

Det. Sgt. Robert Reecks of the Suffolk County Police Department died Aug. 6 in a car accident. A Riverhead resident, he was 57.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 10, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck, where Suffolk County Police Department services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m..

The Rite of Committal will take place Thursday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m. at Mother Teresa Tribute Center in Lake Ronkonkoma. The motorcade will leave DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home at 9 a.m.
