East End Arts hosts Peconic Paddler’s 2nd Annual 70th Birthday Paddle, starting 6 p.m. at Peconic Paddler, 89 Peconic Ave., Riverhead. Attendees participate in 2-hour paddle ride along Peconic River; following the ride, Peconic Paddler will treat participants to birthday party dinner, with food, Long Island wines, bottled beer and canned soda. Southold Town Anti-Bias Task Force 2nd annual Community Picnic to Celebrate Diversity, noon-4 p.m. at Strawberry Fields fairgrounds, Route 48 in Mattituck. People of all ages and racial, ethnic, religious and social backgrounds are encouraged to get acquainted and explore possibilities of friendship and understanding in a bias-free community.
