LIPA Update: Just 200 Riverhead Town customers still affected by outages

Only about 200 Riverhead Town customers, mostly in Calverton and Wading River, remain affected by power outages caused during Tropical Storm Irene last weekend, according to the most recent numbers released by the Long Island Power Authority.

There are still 114 customers affected in Calverton and another 77 more in Wading River.

Just a dozen outages remain in Riverhead hamlet, and fewer than five in Jamesport.

Riverhead has the fewest remaining outages of any Suffolk township outside of tiny Shelter Island.
