LIPA Update: Just 50 outages remain in Riverhead Town

Only 50 Riverhead Town customers remain affected by power outages caused during Tropical Storm Irene last weekend, according to the most recent numbers released by the Long Island Power Authority.

There are still 48 customers affected in Wading River and two more in Calverton.

Riverhead has the fewest remaining outages of any Suffolk town outside of tiny Shelter Island.
