Expect even more traffic Sunday on North Fork roadways

Hallockville Museum Farm is hosting its 31st annual Fall Festival & Craft Show, and the massive event, which was was expected to attract more than 50 vendors, snarled traffic along Sound Avenue and Main Road through much of the day Saturday.

The Hallockville event picks up again Sunday at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. so adjust your travel plans accordingly.

Police in Southold and Riverhead said no traffic accidents were reported Saturday, and that the clogged roadways were due largely to the Fall Festival. The event is a fundraiser for the museum farm and its educational programming and mission, organizers say.

An earlier version of this story listed a 5k event at Martha Clara Vineyards; that event is scheduled for next Saturday, Sept. 25.
