Cops: Riverside woman gave fake name to avoid arrest

A 31-year-old Riverside woman was arrested early Wednesday morning after she was observed walking down the middle of Old Quogue Road, forcing cars to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting her, Southampton Town Police said.

When asked to identify herself, police said Kendal Lindsey gave a fake name so police would not connect her to a parole warrant in her real name.

Ms. Lindsey was arrested at the scene and taken to police headquarters, where she is expected to be arraigned this morning.

She was charged with disorderly conduct and misdemeanor false personation.
