Stat Health Walk-In Medical Care in Cutchogue offers “immediate medical care without the ER wait,” according to business manager Karen Catapano. Dr. Michael Catapano is board certified in both internal and emergency medicine, with over 30 years of emergency medical experience treating children and adults.
Stat Health welcomes Dr. James Bopp to the practice, a former director of emergency services at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center who is also board certified in both internal and emergency medicine.
Stat Health provides comprehensive immediate medical care for adults and children in a friendly, comfortable environment. “We offer a quick, in-and-out solution for simple medical issues such as sore throats, bee stings, poison ivy, tick bites, splinters, urinary tract infections, asthma flare-ups, skin rashes and other relatively minor ailments that need immediate attention and treatment,” according to Ms. Catapano.
Dr. Catapano also specializes in urgent care for children so they can be treated for a variety of childhood illnesses without having to wait for an appointment.
The Cutchogue facility houses a state-of-the-art digital x-ray that allows patients to view on-screen images along with the physician. CDs of the images can be made for the patient to take to a specialist for follow-up, if needed. The office also offers a fully equipped laboratory and blood draw station, EKG, nebulizer treatments and a suture/casting room for more serious lacerations and fractures.
Stat Health is staffed with board certified emergency physicians, and most insurance plans are accepted. Walk-in patients are seen on a first come, first served basis.
