Books are $20 and can be pre-ordered from Ms. Case at her office, 542 East Main St., Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. or at the town clerk’s office at Riverhead Town Hall. Guests will include the 88th Regiment New York State Volunteers; Civil War enactors, who will discuss camp life; and descendants of Riverhead Town soldiers. Descendants are asked to call Ms. Case at 369-9177. Leave your name, phone number, and the name of the soldier. Stay tuned for more details.

It’s never too early to collect donations for local food pantries. First Parish Church, UCC in Riverhead is now accepting donations of canned, jarred and boxed goods on Sundays between 10:30 a.m. and noon. There will be baskets inside the foyer located at the east side entrance of the church in which to place your goods. Do consider giving what you can during this upcoming holiday season to help fill the pantries in our community. Tell a friend!
