Election 2011: Check out our voter’s guide before heading to the polls

Familiar names like Supervisor Sean Walter, left, Councilman George Gabrielsen, center, and former supervisor Phil Cardinale are on the ballot today.

Polls are now open in Riverhead, where two seats on the Town Board and the town supervisor post are both on the ballot.

Voters will also elect a new Suffolk County Executive tonight.

Before heading to the polls, be sure to check out our profiles on each of the candidates below.

Also remember to check back after 9 p.m. as we report live results and reactions from the field, where our reporters will be with both town and county Republicans and Democrats all night long.
