Located at Great Rock Golf Club in Riverhead, this Zagat-rated restaurant has garnered citations for its décor as well as its menu. Open to the public, Blackwells offers a private country-club atmosphere — with affordable prices — that is perfect for an after-golf dinner. It also caters special events for 30 to 100 people.

Blackwells serves USDA Prime dry-aged steaks and fresh-caught seafood with local produce, all prepared in a kitchen where, says general manager Brian Curtin, everything is prepared “from scratch — from dressings to desserts.” The extensive wine list features many North Fork wines as well as international selections.

On Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday, a three-course prix fixe dinner is available for $19.95 before 5:30 p.m. or $24.95 after 5:30 p.m. Prix fixe dinners on Friday and Saturday are $29.95.
