Emily A. Yakaboski

Emily A. Yakaboski died Dec. 3 at her home in Calverton. She was 82.

She was born Sept. 2, 1929, in Riverhead to William and Mary (Zambriski) Condzella and attended school in Wading River and Port Jefferson.

She married Stanley Yakaboski Sr. on Aug. 4, 1951. They moved to Calverton, where they raised their family and where she lived for the rest of her life.

She was a legal secretary for Seth Hubbard, Esq. and belonged to Homemakers in Jamesport and the Riverhead Library knitting group. She enjoyed being home raising her children, baking, knitting, gardening and attending Riverhead Senior Center, according to family.

Predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Ms. Yakaboski is survived by her children, Stanley Jr., of Eastport, Leonard, of Flanders, Alfred, of Baiting Hollow, Patricia Rambo of Calverton and Sharon Martocchia of Riverhead; her sisters Helen Yakaboski of Calverton and Margaret Dudek of Mattituck; her brothers William and Anton Condzella, both of Wading River; and twelve grandchildren. She was also predeceased by three siblings, John, Edmond and Lottie Condzella.

Visiting hours were held Dec. 5 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service took place Dec. 6 at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead, with interment at St. Isidore Cemetery.
