Marilyn West of Riverhead died Feb. 11 at Stony Brook University Medical Center. She was 68.
She was born Sept. 29, 1943, in Aberdeen, S.D., to Frank and Mary (King) Meehan. She earned an associate degree and had worked as a paralegal for the New York State Supreme Court in Riverhead.
Ms. West is survived by her husband, Mark; her daughters, Maria Sisto of Howell, N.J., and Michelle Vessichio of Rocky Point; her sons, Mark III, of Cutchogue, Morris, of Conway, N.H., Martin, of Hampton Bays and M. Treewolf of Westhampton; her sisters, Gerri Lehrmann and Carol Barke, both of Wisconsin, and Jean King and Franci Brewer, both of Colorado; 22 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will take place Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 15 and 16, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A service will be held Friday, Feb. 17, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at Washington Memorial Park in Mount Sinai.
