Riverhead boy airlifted to hospital after TV set falls on top of him

BARBARAELLEN KOCH PHOTO | A young boy was airlifted to Stony Brook Friday after a television set fell off a dresser and landed on him.

A Suffolk Police Medivac transported a young boy to Stony Brook University Medical Center after he was struck by a falling television set, emergency officials said.

The boy was transported by Riverhead Ambulance to a farm field on Northville Turnpike after the television fell off a dresser and landed on top of him inside his West Main Street home.

The incident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Friday night.
