Cops: Flanders man stole jewelry

A Flanders man was arrested Tuesday evening and charged with stealing jewelry from a Flanders home, Southampton Town Police said.

Richard Borsman, 35, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, after a police investigation revealed he stole jewelry from a residence on Flanders Road, police said. Mr. Borsman was familiar with and had permission to enter the home at the time of the larceny, according to police reports.

He was arrested and held at Southampton police headquarters for arraignment in Southampton Town Justice Court.
