Joseph Syrakowski

Joseph Syrakowski of Calverton died March 8 in Riverhead at the age of 95.

He was born Feb. 9, 1917, in New Britain, Conn., to Heva (Marchiewka) and Stanley Syrakowski.

Predeceased by his wife, Vera, in 1989, he is survived by his son, Edward, of Shirley, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours took place March 11 at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A service was held March 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead, Father Robert Kuznik officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery.
