Horace E. Corwin died April 2 at his home in Riverhead. He was 96.
He was born in Aquebogue Nov. 21, 1915, to Marjorie (Young) and Raymond Clyde Corwin. He graduated from Syracuse University and served in the U.S. Army during World War II, from 1943 to 1945.
Mr. Corwin was a procurement manager at Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation in Calverton.
Predeceased by his wife, Veronica, in 1990, he is survived by his son, William, of New Hampshire; his sister, Barbara Folk of North Carolina; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchilren.
Services and interment will take place Thursday, April 5, at 10:45 a.m. at Calverton National Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead.
