A man’s body was found by a group of students in a wooded area near Shoreham-Wading River High School Wednesday afternoon, Suffolk Police said.
Police said homicide squad detectives have ruled the death as non-criminal.
The students found the body in a wooded area near the high school at about 4:45 p.m., according to a statement on the district’s website. The body was not found on school property and had no connection to the district, according to the statement.
The students immediately told district officials, who called Suffolk County police. No other information was released by the police, since the death is not a criminal investigation.
