Former Jamesport resident Charles F. Spacek of Fort Pierce, Fla., died June 6 at the age of 81.
Born in Maspeth, N.Y., he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Before retiring to Fort Pierce, where he lived for 21 years, Mr. Spacek served as postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service in Laurel. He was president of St. Isidore’s School Board and Holy Name Society in Riverhead and a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Parish in Fort Pierce.
Predeceased by his wife, Mary, he is survived by his children, Judith Jones, Nadine Dischner and Christine D’Arch; his brother, Frank; his sister Rose Gunning; and six grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his sister Marie Paskowski.
