2 hospitalized after pizza delivery car is T-boned on Route 58

Two men were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a pizza delivery driver was broadsided by another driver on Route 58, police said.

The delivery driver was pulling out of Rocco’s Pizza and Pasta in a red Volkswagen  when he was hit on the driver’s side by a green Chevy about 1:15 p.m., responding officers said.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Both cars were towed from the scene.
