Two local men arrested for DWI Sunday in Southold Town

Two Riverhead Town residents were arrested on DWI charges in two separate incidents Sunday night in Southold, police said.

In the first case, police arrested Brian Kelly, 39, of Riverhead after his vehicle was stopped near Route 48 and Bridge Lane in Cutchogue for swerving, Southold police said.

He was found to be intoxicated, police said, and was arrested on a misdemeanor DWI charge about 8:30 p.m.

He was held overnight at Southold Police Department headquarters on Main Road in Southold.

In the second case, police arrested Jedreys Apoloniusz of Aquebogue after stopping his car on Main Road in Mattituck, officials said.

Mr. Apoloniusz was pulled over about 9:15 p.m. for an unspecified “traffic infraction,” according to a press release, and was found to be drunk. He was arrested on a misdemeanor DWI charge and held overnight at police headquarters.
