Rosa Lee Childress

Rosa Lee Childress of Riverhead died June 22 at the age of 72.

She was born June 19, 1940, in Cumberland, Va., to Sam Nash and Rosa Lee Mack, and worked as a bus monitor at Acme Bus Corp. in Eastport.

Predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 1965, Ms. Childress is survived by her children, Arthur Childress, Robert Nash and Diane Moreman, all of Riverhead; her sisters, Martha Booker, Betty Langhorne and Margaret Brown, also all of Riverhead; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A service will take place Wednesday, June 27, at 10 a.m. at Galilee Church of God in Christ in Riverhead, Pastor Pennon officiating. Interment will follow at Riverhead Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead.
